Introducing THE MCGAREY PRIZES for INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE
We are honored to announce that The World Research Foundation has established The McGarey Prizes for Integrative Medicine. Three prizes have been created in honor of the pioneering work by Dr. Gladys. They will be awarded to researchers who bring safe and effective new therapies into medicine for heart disease, cancer, arthritis, diabetes and other health difficulties. Based on donations received by The World Research Foundation, the goal is to award $20,000 to each of the prize winners every November.
The McGarey Prizes for Integrative Medicine will serve the following purposes:
- To give recognition and to support research in various aspects of integrative medicine that have proven anecdotally to be effective, but have not had sufficient funding from either government agencies or charitable fund-raising groups.
- To increase public and professional awareness, thereby, compelling health professionals to be more likely to investigate the various techniques which are being considered for awards.
- To encourage unknown researchers to come to the forefront and to present their innovative research for award considerations.
Established in 1984, the World Research Foundation is a unique, international, health information network. Its goal is to help people around the world become aware of all available health treatments, in order to give them the freedom to choose, based on complete and in-depth information. It is one of the only organizations that provides comprehensive health information on both allopathic and complementary & alternative medicine (CAM) therapies.
